To see if you qualify for an AAN Student Loan Program
Student Loan Consolidation, please complete the following questions.
1. Are you, your spouse, or your parent a member of the American Academy of Neurology?
The AAN Student Loan Program is only available to AAN members, their spouses, medical students, and neurology residents. However, other student loan consolidation options might be available to you. Please visit the Student
Assistance Foundation Web site, or contact us for more information.

2. Are you (1) finished with school, (2) will be finished within the next six months or (3) considered to be a less than half-time student?
We're sorry, but federal legislation has eliminated the in-school consolidation option. You are now only able to consolidate if your loans are in a grace period, deferment or forbearance, or in repayment.

3. Do you have at least $40,000 in FFELP student loans?
Sorry, you must have over $40,000 in FFELP student loan debt
outstanding to consolidate your loans.

4. Are you currently in default on any of your student loans?
We are sorry. Federal regulations do not allow the consolidation of defaulted loans. Please
